Chris Christie would have been able to control @realDonaldTrump, a man who surrenders to every venal and vicious impulse he has? The subtext of this failed presidency is that failed businessman Donald is the president.

That, and the country ended up with a crazy person in the White House. Personnel issues are way down the list.

Huh? THIS was the original sin? Not birtherism? Not the escalator ride and racist attacks on Mexicans? Not “American carnage” at the Inauguration? I give up...Yeah, everything would be better if he’d surrounded himself by loyalists at the outset.

What about all of his accomplishments? Can we talk about those for a minute? Real accomplishments, not fabricated, anonymous accounts that have no bearing on Americans.
