Pooler @tparti reports that at his cabinet meeting just now, Trump offered his “warmest best wishes & sympathies” to Aretha Franklin's family and "described her as a person he knew well & who worked for him."
"She worked for me on numerous occasions," Trump says, perhaps alluding to times Franklin performed at Trump properties. "She was given a great gift from G-d, her voice, & she used it well. People loved Aretha. She was a special woman..."
Even if he had indeed hired her for some gig way back when, only trump would turn his comments as to the death of the great Aretha Franklin into a statement about himself.
We lost a true legend. One that Donald Trump will never be. Can we just spend one day not talking about him?
He can't do even the most simplest thing with empathy.
