Freedom of the howling mob is what Sanders means. Individual protesters at Trump rallies get thrown out; they don’t get freedom of speech.

Which, in and of itself, is a clear endorsement of the behavior of that mob. If it's clear via a tweet or the press secretary's podium that the administration doesn't condemn that behavior, it will be as clear to those supporters that it is endorsed at least, encouraged at worst.

Inciting hate which reasonably may lead to violence is not covered under the First Amendment..

Remember, this is an administration that came from a campaign whose former manager put hands on a reporter, and who was invited back onto cable as an expert commentator. So there's complicity all around on this.

Yet, when someone made disparaging remarks about Ivanka....

WH appreciates reporters willing to craft their news to fit what the administration wants.

Why does that freedom not apply to those opposed to trump at these rallies??????? Freedom of speech replaced by threats of violence by trump himself

Unless it’s about her...then the press wants to give lectures about civility. Everything is backwards

And that, kids, is how the Third Reich got its start.
