Worth mentioning. Trump is cynically trying to exploit Germany's Iraq war stance under Gerhard Schröder (for which Schröder was later rewarded by Putin) to buttress his position with Republicans. But the Putin that Trump loves was even more anti-Iraq war than Schröder.
