Honestly mystified by Trump critics who take out their anger about his rhetoric & behavior on @maggieNYT. She is the hardest-working, best-sourced journalist covering this president & has done more to document what he is actually doing than almost anyone.

I bet there're 17 Republicans who ran against Trump who'd beg to differ on how easy Trump is, to beat. I thought he would be an easy win, I was WRONG. Of course if Bernie would have dropped out in April & stopped attacking Hillary, we might've had a chance. Also the Comey letter

I’m hard on her because, despite the EXCELLENT reporting (fact finding, sourcing etc.) the writing reads from credulous almost all the way to excuse making at times.

Thanks for the comment. I realize that's a common criticism of her work, but I respectfully disagree. It seems to me that the meme has taken over, with many people primed for that reaction no matter what she writes.

For heaven's sake, stop with the "hardest-working" bit (who cares, we all work hard). The "best-sourced" part is part of the problem: access journalism can be dangerous. The condescension and sanctimony - and inability to look at criticism without lashing out - is problematic.

These are the truths in satire/comedy we have to hear faster. He's a goldmine for them both critical and supportive. Once i understood things got withheld (stories, coverage) by deference or threat and going back to coverage during '16, it's crazy how happy they are he's there.
