DOJ claims Oath Keepers brought guns to VA hotel for “quick reaction force.” Not illegal, not brought into DC and not into building. Judge Mehta seems to think possession of a gun alone makes a person a threat.

van der Veen now arguing protesters were let in from inside. This seems to be supported by other evidence including Sen. Johnson letter to USCP. Judge Mehta claims no one was let in.

Another instance of DOJ looking to overrule local judge ruling to release a J6 defendant on bond. DOJ: “Danger is still real” because Dolan doesn’t believe outcome of election. “This isn’t over for him.” Unf*ckingbelievable. I hear it all the time but still blows me away.

Mehta: This is a “close call.” Dolan is a danger bc he brought guns from Florida to hotel outside of DC to pose a quick reactionary force. (Dolan faces ZERO weapons charges.) “Ready for use on January 6.” Never brought them to DC or Capitol. Very concerned he has access to guns

Mehta “very concerned” he was near Pelosi’s office. Wtf. Mehta: Dolan is a risk and a danger bc he might engage in violence (!) in future political protests. But he’s not a leader. Mehta denies DOJ motion for pre-trial detention. “They fell a little short.”
