I feel like we're in for a lot of Russo Bros doing some J.K. Rowling style after the fact commentary and I'm not excited for that shit at all.

I'm wild excited for this book!! Jason Reynolds is really my hero, so new work in October is bomb! Hoping that the characters running ragged in my head can make as much of an impact as his have for me!

Like I get that Billions is built on disproportionate responses, that's where the drama lies but also Wendy's status as one of the only people who knows what they want shaking seems to have destabilized several characters in ways that have been less than great for me

Wendy's unethical vendetta against Taylor was useful in jacking up the stakes for the Axe Cap side of the plotline (after Overton window it was hard to imagine how the wonkier Axe power struggle could keep pace) but it also felt wildly out of character in its execution

Like, don't get me wrong. I get the narrative value of Connerty as a fall from grace type arc but the willingness to fold to Jock on nearly everything happens very suddenly considering how much less screentime we receive from him compared w/ earlier seasons

One thing that has been frustrating this season of is that two of the shows most principled characters Connerty and Wendy have been compromising their values for reasons that aren't especially clear
