Aaron Schlossberg doesn’t seem like a very nice person, but does that merit harassing him in the street, kicking him out of his work space, having people trying to revoke his legal license? Imagine this happening to someone you agree with and see how you feel.

Your "point" was not proved. Schlossberg was not arrested. He was not detained. He was not killed. He was not tortured. He was not deported. He was consistently racist, and clients and regular people decided they don't want to have anything to do with him.
-
There is absolutely nothing in common with what happened to him, and "totalitarian authoritarianism." He wasn't excommunicated from a party. He wasn't denied due process. He wasn't placed under house arrest. This is a terrible comparison.

I hope defending a racist was worth all this
. I've always admired your work but your position here is absurd. Reporters asking him questions are not "a mob". Business choosing to cut business ties with him are not "a mob". Stop trying to protect this guy. -
Also, a group of people disagreeing with you on Twitter is also not "a mob".

"kicking him out of his work space" You mean that thing he was threatening to do? Only not by social pressure but the armed power of the State?
-
The obtuseness of her position is staggering.

#Proven: your original tweet lacked any thought or empathy for the victims of Schlossberg’s repeated racial assaults. You portrayed him and now yourself as victims taking zero responsibility for your words or actions. How privileged! - 1 more reply

These folks have to experience consequences or it will only get worse.
-
I would contend that, given the video footage from various years of this guy acting out, he hasn't had any consequences until now. Time will either promote or expose you and apparently his time has come.

Characterizing a large group with dissenting positions as a "mob" is just a lazy cop-out. This lawyer deserved criticism beyond what he has received. He has been menacing people for many years, and clearly needs motivation to introspect.

Why the air of superiority, Julia? Do you think that those who believe he should be held accountable are somehow less than? It seems to (very subtly) send a similar message to his: “It’s not the way I like, so I will judge.”

Oh no, the twitter sphere disagrees with me! I'll attempt to undermine their opinions by calling them a mob! Yeah, that's the ticket.

It’s not a mob if you can just not open an app and it goes away

I’m confused. What is your point exactly? Racists should be able to open and aggressive without any public backlash?

Getting ratio'd on Twitter--a social media platform--for making a horrible, racism enabling point is only reinforcing your self-righteous concern trolling. Aaron Schlossberg isn't being violently assaulted. He isn't being deported. Something he threatened on other people.
-
People should be afraid to discriminate. If people choose to be racists instead of decent people, then let them face consequences for it so other racists will know this conduct will not be accepted. Feel sorry for the immigrants Schlossberg threatened.
-
And imagine the damage Schlossberg can (and likely already has) caused for Spanish-speaking immigrants as a LAWYER who wants to deport people who speak it. On his website he said he spoke Spanish fluently. I hope he's investigated for possibly giving bad counsel to immigrants.
