    Clarifying the rumors that is banning even those who *fled* Russia and Belarus from using its services: it is not true and only applies to people inside the countries.

    I am grateful to for clarifying that this will impact only those who are located inside Belarus or Russia. Please don't think that this is about going on vacation.Belarusians who fled their country from persecution need to use Airbnb because they don't have where to live

    These totally non-fascist Russian cadets are reciting a poem about how Ukraine has been filled with Nazis by the U.S. so it can fight against Russia, its "older sister," which will liberate Ukraine from this "impurity."

    Just some army cadets in Russia telling us how this is World War 2 all over again, that America did it, Ukraine's full of Nazis, and they plan to take revenge. Perfectly ordinary stuff. No fascists here.

    Back in the USSR

    A schoolteacher in Sakhalin has been fined 30k rubles & fired for telling students (in a conversation between classes) that she thinks the invasion of Ukraine is a “mistake.” One of the students recorded her and showed it to their mom, who ratted her out.

    Not only will the people who committed the atrocities not be held accountable, they are apparently being sent in to do more.

    Ukrainian military intel says the Russian troops responsible for the massacre in Bucha (64th Motorized Rifle Brigade of 35th Combined Arms Army) will be returned to the front line sooner than normal, possibly for more cleansing, this time near Kharkiv.

    Internet conspiracy theories are all Russia has to defend the actions of its army, so let's not pretend Russia has sophisticated disinformation campaigns, it's the diplomatic equivalent of shitposting, and we should treat them with the lack of respect they deserve.

    I have been informed that Airbnb is indeed atuomatically refusing service to anyone who has verified their identity using Russian documents, regardless of where they live now. This could be a major problem for people fleeing Russia and looking for housing abroad.

    Not only has left Russia and Belarus, but it’s now banned Russian and Belarusian nationals from using its service anywhere in the world.
