If you've got time (we spent most of the day there), we enjoyed the Technipolis science centre. Short cycle from the centre but maybe a bit of a walk. The girls will be too small for the bike tight wire though.

The one on the left does go around (most) corners but it's much happier with gentle bends. (About to leave our hostel near Ghent)

My cycle computer malfunctioned today. Now I know that it keeps distance as a 32 bit count of centimetres, though. I had wondered!
