    Pet peeve: the Butterfly effect is not when some small cause has an outsized but traceable effect. Instead, the butterfly effect is where any small perturbation makes a system completely unpredictable in the long run. Difference seems subtle, but isn’t.

    I’m pleased to report that has successfully developed a CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing protocol in weakly electric fish. This effort has resulted in sexually mature, sodium channel knockout , which are electrically silenced: (1/7) . .
