        I imagine it’s because many school boards approve contracts and it would be a conflict of interest to vote for it. Either that or we’re all too busy correcting and planning.

        I always find it so bizarre that school boards are, by and large, composed of people who have never worked in schools 🤷🏼‍♀️

        In FCPS, they can’t be on the board and work for the same system. I know some have worked in neighboring school districts while they served on our board.
