Re: impostor syndrome. Someone once said to me "You think that you don't belong here and that everyone is smarter than you. But do you really believe that you are clever enough to trick all these smart people into thinking that you deserve to be here if you don't?"
And something just clicked in my head. Like wow, you're right. If I am genuinely undeserving to be here, do I really believe that I managed to fool all the people I admire? They would have seen through me for sure, so maybe I do deserve to be here?
I've been trying to figure out who said this to me so that I could credit them.

When I have this conversation in my head, the imposter syndrome voice usually replies with "yes, it's actually very likely that you tricked everyone because bullshitting is actually the one thing you're good at" 
Yup! Followed very quickly by "...and it's only a matter of time..."
This broke me. And then really inspired me.

I think this too and sometimes my response is "yes! I have managed to fool so many people! I am a master of deception, a rogue, a stunningly beautiful con artist. What an achievement!"
