Writing a column about all my complaints about Kindle. (I still love mine.) What are yours? I don't want to miss any! ;-)

@jsnell Would you recommend it over a Nook? If so, what's the main reason other than the larger book selection on Amazon's website?

@johncoxon Paperwhite seems better than Nook Touch Glowlight.

@jsnell Fair enough. Do you think the extra money for the backlight is worth it then? I've been umming and ahhing over that.

@jsnell I love my e-ink Kindle. Aside from what you’ve mentioned, my main complaint is that it feels slow.

@jsnell I hate that I can’t give away my “books” after reading. I donate at least half of paper books to @thebookthing. Can’t w/Kindle.

@jsnell My complaint is that my Kindle doesn't have a backlight. Because I can't buy the Paperweight in France...

@jsnell I think touch fundamentally doesn't belong on e-readers. Refresh time is too long, leads to crazy accidental issues

@jsnell Saving my reading position is useless in non-fiction reference books, such as travel guide books where you jump around.

@jsnell Maybe they fixed this on newer Kindles, but on my keyboard Kindle 3 it takes too many clicks to get to the table of contents

@jsnell I just wish the Kindle could be pretty as well as useful, or iBooks could be useful and not just pretty. Either works for me.

@jsnell The ecosystem is too restrictive in my opinion. I'll only get aboard DRM / store free.

@jsnell If I'm note-taking, I have to put it down and use Kindle for iPad instead. Kindle's not really built for the non-fic reading I do.

@jsnell Using end notes will sometimes (but not always!) set your "Farthest Page Read" to end of book.

@jsnell BTW, almost hate to report this bug - the Macworld RSS feed has the full text of the Macalope Daily, even though I'm not an Insider.

@jsnell My problem comes when reading Terry Pratchett books. All the footnotes are at the end of the book, rendering Whispersync useless.

@jsnell It’s simply not big enough. Should be at least an inch bigger, preferable 7.5-8 inches.
