What that piece is right about is Apple Music’s terrible matching and inability for the user to override/replace bad matches. It’s painful.

@jetscott I get how matching is hard, but its standards are too low and there’s no ability to override. “No seriously, TAKE MY FILE.” -
@jsnell I find lots of albums now that have half been taken over by Apple Music, some cloud matched stuff, and albums split in half -
@jetscott Yeah, a lot of tracks have been pushed to greatest hits, live tracks replaced with studio, it’s all true.

@jsnell TL;DR#AppleMusic is an embarrassment, shows a mail-it-in mentality. For some of us music is too important (and, yes, Steve was one) -

@jsnell I don’t have anything that’s been removed but I do have some duplicates, one original and one Apple Music (seemingly). -
@jsnell@jeffcarlson I often have uploaded live albums revert to studio weeks after upload. It'll work fine for a while and then break. -

@jsnell You nailed it. I've had to rename (and then delete and re-import) so many songs to force them to upload instead of match incorrectly
