@jsnell I’m assuming it’s privacy-related, but also doesn’t make sense that old-school Photo Stream syncs.

@settern Yeah, I don't see the privacy argument - it's my device and my photo library, so I can't view it? - View other replies
-
@jsnell Yeah, but home library—especially if you have friends over, etc… I don’t know if that’s actually the reason, but I could understand. - View other replies
-
@settern Maybe they should hide my movies and music from my friends, too, then?

@jsnell really? It’s supported even in the older generation one. - View other replies

@ghaatimasala No, Photo Stream and Shared Albums ≠ iCloud Photo Library - View other replies

@jsnell I know but I see an app called iCloud Photo Library on the old one -
@ghaatimasala It doesn't give you access to your photos or albums (beyond shared and photo stream), so it's not iCloud Photo Library. -
@jsnell oops! Yes, you're right. Sucks.

@jsnell it’s a 1.0 product. Development on it ain’t finished. -
@westy2018 Buying a product in the hope that it'll be improved later through updates is a fool's game -
@jsnell why? We’ve been doing it with iOS products since 2008. -
@westy2018 Hey, if you think it's okay to release a half-finished product and catch up later, that's your right. -
@jsnell I bought my Watch and iPhone 6 on that basis. Worked out nicely.

@jfmartin67@jcenters Photo Stream and Shared Albums are not iCloud Photo Library. -
-
@jfmartin67@jcenters It's the same functionality as on the old device, but seems strange not to support major 9 month old feature
