As of yesterday, 6,939 short.
Of those, 671 are in "critical" category, with 111 jurisdictions saying they can't staff even one polling place

Under the category "serious," a shortage of 2,713 poll workers, w/ 126 jurisdictions unable to staff all desired polling places.

Public universities should give credit to students to staff polling places.
Or they should just not hold an in person election while the state is under a Stay at Home order. You know, like dozens of other states are doing (my state, Maryland, moved their APRIL 28TH primary back)
Imagine if states used paper ballots and we all voted by mail--as I did in California. Not tech glitches. Paper back-up. Easy for working folks, elderly, disabled, everyone.
Go to mail in like Colorado, Washington and California.
