Actually, no. People who want to claim this is binary are causing the divisiveness, not the initiative itself. To say if your opposed to C you’re opposed to helping the homeless is false and sad.
It’s actually extremely good that this issue is divisive, it shows everyone where people stand on progressive business taxes, how clear-eyed they are about the problem, & whether they value easing human suffering or perfect policy more.

That's fair, the money is structured to be spent largely on housing, which would mean more funds for acquiring units & for affordable housing developers (third parties) to build new. Some is for better services, but the homeless dept actually uses its funds fairly well.
