"Materials released from the derailment were detected in storm drains, several nearby creeks, and the Ohio River, where the creeks drain into, according to the EPA letter." Also, here's more on the chemicals released & their health effects on humans

In East Palestine, residents have burning eyes, sore throats, and headaches. Babies have respiratory issues. People's pets are suffering and dying. And many affected are having problems getting the $1,000 “inconvenience checks” offered by Norfolk Southern
