My hot take on this is that the increase of writing groups and workshops has in some cases led to a weird phenomenon of fiction written by committee? Many writing groups are fantastic but the thought of this one made me break out in hives. Excellent advice as always, JP.

I love my writing group, it's just a communal space to write. We don't read anyone's work there. I've been telling people I write garbage for the past 2 years and I've gotten so much work done.
