We need more positive programming like this to be accessible to youth across the city. If more community space is needed then we need to make that happen.

Whether by a bullet from a gun or being hit by a car, the number of preventable deaths in our city is unacceptable. A genuine & determined focus on addressing the roots of youth violence, implementing our youth equity strategy & True Vision Zero must be priorities for Toronto.

Thank you to for letting us take a look at one of the respite centres that will be providing 24/7 shelter for people this winter. This one is in Liberty Village and opens Saturday at noon. Neighbours, I'm told, are welcoming!

2018 has been a tough year for Toronto. A question I've heard more and more is, "Why do the media have to be there when things are at their worst?" For my stories of the year, I'm taking a few tweets to highlight why we do what we do.
