It is true. I want to attend protests but am afraid of being punished or gassed by police. But I really want to show my support. Maybe I'm a coward but it does frighten me a lot 
@nathanlawkc: If the definition of violence is narrowed down to such a threshold, then any peaceful assemblies will be exposed to be defined as violence.
