2/ They only shirked responsibility and confused the public with mere excuses. However, up to now, the lawyers appointed by the families have been refused to meet with the detainees. The conditions of the so-called arrested persons are still known only to the authorities.

3/ There are lots of dubious questions yet to be answered: Whether it is the whereabouts of the detainee, the reason for refusing the lawyers' visit, or whether the Chinese Coast Guard entered Hong Kong waters to enforce the law, etc.

4/ HK government only uses official information from China, becomes a willing mouthpiece of the Chinese side, and has never provided any details or sent anyone to China to clarify the doubts. The families decided to report the case to Police Headquarters to find out the truth.

5/ In addition, we believe that the incident involves not only the families of the 12 Hong Kong people, but also public interest. To allay public concerns, we would like to make the following requests to government departments in addition to reporting the case.

6/ Request the Hong Kong Police Force to give an account of the date, time, place and process of the arrest of the 12 persons by the Chinese Coast Guard, and whether there were any injuries/casualties during the process.

7/ Request the Marine Department to provide the radar records of the vessel, and the police force to provide the patrolling route and locations of the marine police vessel on the day of the incident.

8/ Request the Hong Kong government to meet in person or make phone calls to ascertain the situation of the 12 detainees, and ensure that lawyers appointed by relatives of these detainees can meet their 12 clients.

From the reaction and lies of HK gov., it's reasonable for the concern of HKers. No transparency, no details, no dignity, no fair legal process. That's the CHINA style law. The abduction revealed that why we opposed extradition bill last year.

The families just want to know if the 12 detainees are still ok, and try to ensure they can receive a fair trial, but these are almost impossible in China
