Yes, but I also think HKers need to be more educated on world issues and history to be a better ally as well. Take the BLM movement for example, I’ve seen so many comments from pro-democracy HKers criticizing the black community that are either blatantly racist or ignorant.

We need to wake them to the fact that economic justification of their continued dealings with an authoritarian undermines their own freedom and democracy. This needs to come from the grassroots because the top is where the rot often starts from.

Nice survey and the questions in it..! This shouldn't be just limited to Hong Kong. We should include Tibet (The government in exile), Taiwan and China occupied Mongolia. It will help to make the unaware people aware of the problem called China.
