1/ From anti-extradition law to anti-national security law, more than thousands of #Hongkongers took to streets to protest against this highly controversial law since the new law will kill future democratic movements, and murder any slight chance to seeking justice in the city.pic.twitter.com/AeBUy3omK8

2/ It's fiercely imposed by Beijing upon the will of #HKers, without legislative scrutiny. Even tens of thousands of #HKers showed their outcry against draconian law, #hkpolice crushed dissents with armed vehicles, water cannons, teargas & pepper balls but #YouCantStopUs!pic.twitter.com/6sSaOz9iXt

3/ The proposed national security agency is like the #secretpolice branch in HK. The biggest concern is arbitrary & political interpretation of the law, When using the law in China, lawyers, reporters, NGOs, religious groups were accused of “inciting subversion”.pic.twitter.com/u1GdKXC9yw

4/ Not to mention that expats will also suffer, especially when #China is carrying out #WolfWarrior diplomacy worldwide. 2 Canadians became victims of hostage diplomacy as retaliation against the arrest of #Huawei's Meng. Foreign reporters were denied entry for political reasons.pic.twitter.com/wmTFEPaHm5

5/ Today’s rally is the prelude to a larger scale of protest before the announcement of evil law. It's time for HKers to fight back & safeguard HK. I call upon the world to #StandwithHK & oppose #nationalsecuritylaw which poses a threat to all ex-pats & travellers in global city.pic.twitter.com/pf8PMivpq4

The national security agency they proposed has a very bad history, many rights defending lawyer and citizens been arrested by #secretpolice just because they asked questions or exposed the truth. National security law cannot be passed !

The nation can't be secured with this law when the govt consider pointing out its faults as subversion of nation, this would only speed up the destruction of the nationpic.twitter.com/j56Pc1cLhD

in america we have to deal with the FBI as our secret police. but as citizens we have some recourse to fight back, sue, and put them in jail. but Hong Kong is different. you might have to flee to Taiwan.

It is an incident caused by a change in the interpretation of the law. Now the same thing is happening in Japan. I support the human rights of Hong Kong as a person.
