Sadly, Hong Kong's democracy wasn't real. China is the ruler of Hong Kong and has decided to enforce it's brutal force. At Tienanmen Square the youth believed citizens would rise to support them. I think you're thinking the same; citizens will fear and hide, not rise. Retreat.
