4/ Many critics would question my determination to serve a local community, but to give you the fact, I have started work in my constituency since my close colleague, @nathanlawkc, the youngest ever lawmaker was elected in LegCo.

5/ These groundworks, from community planning to incorporated owners management, may not be widely seen on cameras, but are fruitful and rewarding to the community, and to me.

6/ Throughout the years, I’ve witnessed changes to our community - whether it’s controversial changes to traffic arrangements, buildings suffering from seepage after typhoons, or a disputed land sale near an industrial area. I don't see these duties unimportant.

7/ Rather, I'm convinced that, democracy will blossom from the ground, from our community. Our gov has failed to honour our constitutional right to election since 2016. Candidates were disqualified, lawmakers were ousted, voters' choice was denied.

8/ However, this time I'm of the view that high voting turnout is essential to put pressure on the HK Gov't and also to Xi Jinping — to show that we are determined to fight for the heart of the FIVE DEMANDS — Free election.

9/ In response, gov is planning to postpone or to suspend the election, under the pretext of ongoing social unrest. Yet to make this happen, the government must invoke the emergency ordinance, like how it did to ban face masks last week.

10/ Opening Pandora’s box is no less harmful than directing inviting Chinese troops because it opened the floodgate to give Carrie Lam mighty power to do whatever she likes to.

11/ Before the announcement, even working-class, who are usually indifferent to politics or to stand up on the front, already marched in major business districts during lunchtime to show disagreement with the harsh law.
