2. How she condemned 'independence' is completely out of focus. The majority of people's demand in the past 130 days, has nothing to do with sovereignty. Either she has difficulty in comprehension or she has no intention at all to address to the Five Demands.
3. She restricted into 'housing' and 'land' policy areas, neglecting messages on political resolutions. The address completely ignores youth policy, and that's true - in her mind, youth has 'no stake in society'.

They didn't change the conversation, never was one. They know the narrative to state, irrespective of the matter, its the same label. The same old card the CCP plays throughout history to maintain their existence.
HK has its own currency, own jurisdiction, own custom, paid no tax to central government, if HK gets universal suffrage without passing article 23 of basic law, in what sense HK is still part of China?
Its on purpose. A narrative Beijing paints and wants her to parrot. By claiming so, they easily mobilize the chinese to attack the movement & giving CCP excuse to "rightfully" take control of HK, overriding the declaration and basic law. It's just a matter of time.
