1/ It’s worth noting that Apple has once approved http://HKMap.live app into the App Store but made the decision to remove it right after the criticism from the Chinese state-owned People’s Daily. The incident is nothing short of a #kowtowingtoChina.
2/ Also, I am terribly depressed that for such a large corporation like Apple, it chooses to side with CCP and the notorious HKPolice when HKers are still striking for their democracy, and when Americans are concerned about their freedoms of speech are under threat from China.
3/ However, I think the removal of the app won't pose a significant impact to protesters. HKers won’t trade our morality for money. We are ready to stand tall in our battles with the communist giant of China.
4/ I don't feel surprised at the move made by @Apple, as Apple has bowed to China once on the censorship of Taiwan emoji flags.
