After a full 8 minutes of an apparent “business as usual”, there came the moment when it finally dawned on everyone: Hong Kong will never be the same again.
It was the same calm, steady voice of the senior student who doubled as the master of ceremony for the occasion. But instead of just announcing the end of ceremony, she spoke as the voice on behalf of her generation:
Last but not least, I would like to share my personal point of view: We all climb the same mountain, though in different ways”Everyone will play different roles, (standing ovation from students) and we discharge our duty in full. Whatever hurdles there laid, we will bravely face.

Let’s pray for the young and brave ones, especially the little girl who dared to speak out on stage. For in her calm and steady voice, it is as if she has spoken on behalf of her generation: “We are no mobs, but we won’t cede an inch of Hong Kong anymore.”
