今天，香港市民不懼中共恐嚇，毅然走上街頭參加8.31抗議。香港警方事先就做了多抓人的方案，首次出動帶顏色水泡。這次遊行之前，中共和林鄭月娥進行了大抓捕，企圖以此製造恐怖氣氛阻退民眾反抗遊行。中共在中國大陸的一些「行之有效」的「文攻武衛」手法在香港並沒有效果，必須正面回應民眾訴求。
