UPDATE: Our two members Calvin Chu and William Liu were arrested at 2145 and later sent to Ma On Shan Police Station. At the time they were leaving the protest site on the pedestrian walkway, posing no threat. As of now, at 0355, they are still in custody.

Liu was also roughed up and beaten repeatedly. The lawmaker Au Nok-Hin and I were present during the arrest. When we identified ourselves and demanded an explanation from the police, they replied: ‘I don’t care who you are!’

Our lawyers have met with both of them earlier at the police station. They are detained for ‘participating in an unlawful assembly’. Both were then sent to Prince of Wales Hospital for medical examination. I call for their immediate release.
