I’m always intrigued by how activism seems to result in separation from the ordinary people. I live in HK. All around me are people struggling to exist and to do so, they are engaging with the people across the border. Every day. I don’t see a zeal for separation

'struggling to exist'?!? Do u live in Sham Shui Po or one of the poorer districts? They're full of Chinese who came to HK to live off our Social Welfare now housed there. HKers I know are well-educated, hv great jobs, but don't care about democracy coz they've white passports
