港英时代也没有多美好，法制水平远不如现在。但是有个优势是政府不够强大，每次香港平民抗议或暴动都能成功迫使香港政府改变政策，通过民众的压力让香港制度更完善。但是现在中共采用古代的羁縻政策来管理香港，也就是坚定地站在香港权贵和财阀的一边，香港政府根本不用害怕民众，变成了贵族政治治港。
