@TeamYouTube I'm having an issue with an uploaded video never presenting HD options even though the source definitely is. can I get a DM assistance?

Thanks for the tag – Is this a new upload? This usually happens on new uploads bc the system is still processing higher resolutions. Also, we try our best to answer tweets publicly to get the chance to show people who might be experiencing the same issue.

This particular video was uploaded over 12 hours ago and still only shows res up to 480p60 despite being a 1080p60 source from a Pixel 2 XL. I had previously uploaded it and left it for a few days to the same result. DM only because I didn't want to share the video link in public

Sorry to hear that–if your video is still not in HD, it might still be processing. Note that higher resolution videos may not reflect until the upload is fully complete. You can set it as unlisted first & make it public once it's available. More here: https://yt.be/help/3QZ9

I've actually been looking at that and other official doc pages for a few days now. That page suggests that a 4k 30fps video can take up to 4+ hours to process fully, whereas I've been waiting over three times that for a 1080p 60 fps video. That seems odd! (1/2)

Furthermore, my previous upload attempt (as I stated) had sat for a couple days with no change. Is there any way I can get someone to look into my particular case and figure out why it doesn't seem to be getting processed properly? (2/2)

Sorry for the trouble – have you also checked your internet connection? If so, send feedback from the device & account experiencing the issue here: https://yt.be/help/feedback . That is to include system logs and other account specific info to help our team better investigate.

gigabit connection, but the video is fully uploaded and available up to 480p60, so it seems like my internet connection shouldn't matter? I know how to change the resolution on the web player regardless of what res it defaults to.
I'll file a feedback ticket though, thanks.
