Anthony Blinken was behind Obama's About-Face on Syria in 2013 as NSC's Deputy National Security Ad. As Obama's adviser with day-to-day control over Syria deliberations, Mr. Blinken pushed for arming the rebels. He argued "Superpowers don't bluff." https://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324049504578545772906542466.html …pic.twitter.com/rzTrVBSPu3

Behind Obama's about-face decision to directly arm Syria's rebels in 2013, was the Hezbollah's entry Into the civil war, Writes @adamentous in 2013. Iran-Hizb support, caused US to escalate. Blinken regrets US didn't provide more arms & build leverage in belief it'd stop Assad.pic.twitter.com/ocUk3b6Tzd

What's the point, Joshua? That Biden would push for "regime change"? The chance of that is less than zero.

You are correct. The battle over Syria is largely finished, although US troops remain. My interest is in Blinken's attitude toward US led regime-change in the Middle East.

Absolutely, and lots of the weapons and heavy guns that were supplied ended up in the hands of ISIS. They poured into black markets all over the region.

As one of "the Tribe", Blinken will continue to work in the best interests of Israel. On June 17, Tony Blinken, declared that Biden “would not tie military assistance to Israel to things like annexation or other decisions by the Israeli government with which we might disagree.”
