The artists are by and large complicit in whatever TM gets away with. Look at Springsteen’s comments to Rolling Stone about his ticket imbroglio. Swift is possibly the only artist at her level who could effect some sort of change. The rest want to get paid.

The artists make clear that while she's probably the only one who has a chance of making a ruckus, even she wld be very hard pressed to do a stadium tour without working for them. That tells you pretty clearly who calls the shots.

Concerts have become only for the wealthy in the last few years. Lots I want to see. But a plane ticket per seat? I'll stream the music loudly in my house, thank you. I know all that $ doesnt reach the crew, artists, and venue.
