    Update: learning I spent nearly all my life needlessly struggling & hating myself bc of undiagnosed ADHD was a real mofo. But now I'm using that knowledge to find a healthier way to live & work. If you're struggling, seek help. You're not alone.

    Addendum: mental health is complicated. No quick fixes, no easy answers; it's an ongoing journey. To that last point, I recently got diagnosed w/something else (that I'm not ready to discuss yet). I'm nearly 50. Point is, it's never too late to get help.

    We have a number of people at Naughty Dog (myself included) who might be a leeeeeetle bit excited about the Monkey Island sequel news... (but will Guybrush's inclusion in Uncharted 4 be canon?!) (probably not)

    Not sure it counts as an Easter egg since it's fairly front-and-center - & required the efforts + talent of the whole team - but I love that we (w/permission from Disney) snuck a certain wannabe-pirate into Uncharted 4 w/both obvious & more subtle references to those games. 🐒

    The games industry NEEDS to standardize crediting in a way that respects and highlights the work people put into these projects (sometimes YEARS of it) even if they leave before the title ships.

    This is a fun piece that goes into detail about how we developed Rivet, though it’s pretty upsetting and frankly offensive that they never once mention me, given I was the lead writer and responsible for a TON of this development.

    EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE somehow manages to balance utterly ludicrous moments with heartfelt sincerity without falling apart. Brilliant, endlessly creative, plus Michelle Yeoh & Ke Huy Quan are fantastic. Go in blind and enjoy the trip. Bravo, !

    What Julie C says here 💯 I'm naturally introverted and public speaking gives me Anxiety, but I do it all anyway because it's important to see women making a CAREER out of games. You can stay in games and be successful and happy for years. I'm proof of that

    Have you ever thought about joining the Games Industry? We've got words of wisdom from just some of the wonderful women at Bethesda and our studios. 💜

    I was lucky enough to get Norco pre-release. It is as strikingly written and designed as it is aesthetically gorgeous. This is a game I'm going to be yelling about at the end of the year. It's also on gamepass, so you've really got no excuse to not try it.

    norco comes out tomorrow. thank you endlessly to everyone who has shown support over the years, sent words of encouragement and connection, shared the demo with friends, and expressed their confidence in this project. the love is what kept the whole thing going.

    Story time 🧵 was born out of an incident I encountered at 19 when I was stopped THREE separate times at badge collection because apparently I didn't look like a person who would speak at the Game Developers Conference.

    So this super awks thing happened to me yesterday at registration. As I approached the line for speaker badge pickup, a security guard stopped me and asked where I was going. I pointed to the speaker registration booth ahead. He said, “that’s for speakers”.
