    I got working in the browser! This is not only Monaco, this is VSCode itself directly running in the browser with node shims connected to the APIs of CodeSandbox. This means that we can get Grid View, VSCode Extension support, breadcrumbs + more! I'm so excited by this!

    To architect a React app correctly, there should be as little logic as possible in your frontend. Do every calculation and heavy lifting on the server where it’s faster and not reliant on a user’s cpu

    Ah 2018. Scrum means "Waterfall but we don't have time for analysis". Kanban means "Scrum, but we don't have time for sprint planning". Agile means "We have no process, but we do use JIRA extensively"

    Happy Friday! Just published a pretty detailed post on explaining our decision to remove the Stage presets in Babel 7. Also with that how we are attempting to handle proposal lock-in moving forward

    We need to stop chasing "pixel-perfection". Even the most "pixel-perfect" mockup is just a hint at what a UI might look like in one state, at one screen size, in one browser, on one device, with one set of data. Instead, embrace the dynamic, fluid nature of the target medium.

  19. fun fact: You can pass arguments to setTimeout or setInterval's callbacks: function logThings(a, b, c) { console.log(a, b, c); } // calls logThings('arg1', 'arg2', 'arg3') after 1 second setTimeout(logThings, 1000, 'arg1', 'arg2', 'arg3');

    Being angry all the time is exhausting and corrosive. Not being angry feels morally irresponsible.
