There’s a kind of “Golden Rule” that’s in place if you participate in tech: “Treat others as if they might be the next great founder.”

There is a “kindness” to the Silicon Valley world that you really don’t see elsewhere. As NYer born in SV I like living the middle ground a bit. Sometimes being a jerk helps sanity. But the tendency towards lending a helping hand is a virtue to cultivate
