Mike, don’t argue with liberals, it’s more productive to bang your head against a wall.

...and it would make the shooter think twice about going through with it...

What's more, the idea that no one knows who is and who is not carrying and how many acts as a deterrent to a shooter. Right now, the shooter is the ONLY one safe in a GFZ.

Particularly several teachers or coaches. The coach that died trying to protect kids in Parkland probably could have stopped the shooter had he been armed.

Also like the idea of retired military protecting our school age children too. They’d love nothing more than to protect America’s kids. And what parent wouldn’t feel so much more safe and confident that their child is in the safest hands. It’s a Win Win

Colorado hasn't had any shootings since they armed their teachers. Retired Vets are also willing to guard all kids schools.

Many teachers realize that their lives are at risk in the school too. In carrying they're also protecting themselves along with the students

What if they don't pass the check, or do not wish to possess a firearm while educating our children?
-
He said that would have to be voluntary.
-
Well, yeah, I don't think anyone believes you can force educators to carry a weapon. What would happen to the schools, or districts, where no one wishes to volunteer? Why are we suddenly moving on from restricting access to guns and in turn focusing on response tactics?
