CSS is the result of decades of document layout experience. We (collectively) don't have that for 3D/VR info layout.

And how are we going to get it? By deliberating in vacuum, or by starting to experiment with tools at hand? CSS + VR = dowsing stick

guess I'm assuming that CSS spec isn't a place where one throws in experiments. perhaps that's too conservative.

Fair point :) My hope is we can make few relatively simple additions for big impact. Then pave cowpaths w/ more advanced standards.
