If I were starting today I’d pay $20 for ChatGPT and just start building. I’d use it to learn to code and anything else needed. It is like having a grand master by your side teaching you along the way. Have some caution though, it does occasionally hallucinate.

++CSS media queries ++ReactJS ++Chrome Extensions Wondering if it’s more useful to create a list of what it is not good at.. which if you explain your problem well.. is hard to find. I find if I get poor results it was because I didn’t the right context.

Between ChatGPT and copilot I rarely look at Stack Overflow now. Used to go there 10 times a day. Using commented commands with copilots can help avoid going to ChatGPT often. I didn’t realized how much I hated googling until I had an alternative.

I haven't used Stack Overflow since ChatGPT came out.

It can sometimes feel that you are missing out. SF is a great place to get involved in AI, but so is the internet. Regardless of where you are if you focus on creating something of value to users and seek to learn from others, you will eventually build something great.

“Cerebral Valley” is a myth. - @CohereAI is in Toronto - @HyperWriteAI is remote - Jasper.ai is in Texas - @runwayml is in NYC - @huggingface is in NYC + Paris If you’re building in AI and you’re not in SF, don’t worry — you’re in great company.

When I became interested in LLMs, I assumed learning the science would be the main way to add value. After working on some mostly front-end side projects, I realized how hard it is to build the right UX. I've found that building the right interface is an interesting problem.

The people poised to benefit from the next gen of models are the ones building with todays models. Text-davinci-003 is pretty powerful… so I’d suggest, if you are not already, building with 003 and v2 embeddings. Once the ChatGPT API comes, I’d do the same.

I remember when SN1-SNx launched monthly and I’d join launch parties in Clubhouse. Can’t wait for those to return (probably on spaces) in next few months. This is the thing I’m most excited for after Gen AI

I’ve wanted to build a specific game for some time, but found many counter reasons not to. The reason to do it is that it sounds really fun. I was on my laptop this weekend and couldn’t help but hack at it. Will share more soon. "Old style key" - Lexica Aperture

Request for product: For non technical or less intensive books I often prefer audio books. I often go to the Apple book app to search for an audio book and there isn’t one published unfortunately. Assuming you all can solve that for me pretty soon.. thanks
