the government does the kinds of things we've been told to watch out for- and then brushes it off as "we're uh...investigating. you wouldn't want something bad to happen,would you?" most people wouldn't want to imply they're linked by contesting that. scary.
German privacy activist organizations raided as part of investigation into anonymous website that called for violent protests against far-right political group. As mentioned by the tor project, the raid was likely a pretext to discourage people running TOR nodes and taking a whack and http://riseup.net 's funding. Not a tactical goal, but strategic.
