    We are so grateful for the support and excited to work with and on sharing these amazing collections with the world. .

    Culture Minister Jenny Gilruth said: “I’m delighted the Scottish Government’s contribution to this appeal has played a part in returning these valuable books to Scotland where they will be looked after and made available to the public.”
    The Scottish Government has contributed £400,000 to a successful £15m appeal that will see books by Robert Burns and Sir Walter Scott from the Honresfield Library collection return to rather than being auctioned.

    Today is our first and we’re starting strong with the most terrifying Father Christmas in the Huntley and Palmers collection. He absolutely sees you when you’re sleeping and knows when you’re awake, and frankly you should be more worried about that!
