    Even left critiques of cancel culture, which I largely agree with, fail to account for the material dynamics of the platform on which this all transpires. Kind of ironic!

    The craziest thing is that King Leopold II never even set a foot in the Congo. He held a territory 76 times the size of his home kingdom as personal property for more than 20 years, exterminated the population for rubber profits, muffled critics, and never bothered to go there.

    The interesting thing about the NYT is that its editorial ethos is the perpetuation of the status quo, while its journalism provides thousands of case studies demonstrating why the status quo is cruel, violent, and intolerable

    These are some of the groups taking care part of Pilsen, still a predominantly Latino neighborhood. After hearing concerns circulating on social media that Latinos (particularly gangs) are targeting all Blacks in the neighborhood, they said Black residents can feel safe.
