Ah, yes. This is why I laugh when a member of @AAPSonline claims that the organization is not antivax. One wonders if the complain as loudly about government attempts to limit what doctors can say to patients and study about gun violence.https://twitter.com/jorient/status/1106278606592892928 …

One REPRODUCIBLE observation. You seem to have neglected to mention that one critical point.

Supplanting a theory requires that new observations also fit into a larger framework that also incorporates the old data. You don't get to toss in one bogus data bomb and upend everything. That's not science, that's closer to terrorist ideology.

And Antivax cults certainly rely on terror. Incidentally, science is based upon experimentation, not just observation. Lots of fallacies to unpack in one tweet.

No, it can't, although it can wreck an experimental hypothesis, or even a long-standing tradition. Please use the word 'theory" like professionals use it. Here's a refresher for you: https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/difference-between-hypothesis-and-theory-usage …

Scientists try to disprove their HYPOTHESES - not theories. This is the scientific method. Scientists don’t espouse theories.
