What do they call the person who graduates last in their class in medical school? Doctor.

This is not a question of intelligence, but ethics- or her lack of thereof.

I don't know, "do vaccines work (better than possibly dying from a serious, preventable illness to get 'robust immunity')" seems a question of intelligence to me?

Fair point. But some of these people are deluded- for lack of a better word. It’s not a question of pure intelligence or knowledge. Some people who are very smart in one way (Nobel prize winners) are against at least some vaccines.

I also don't understand anti-vax from a parenting point of view ... My kid is 3 and still, the start of every cold, there's this little spark of fear - is this the flu (even though we get our for shots early) and <recalls horrible stories of how healthy kids just die>

Well I don’t get it either. There is a wide range of antivaxx, but as best can be said in a tweet, infectious diseases are thought to be natural and therefor good, while vaccines are artificial and therefor harmful.

By that same token, cancer is natural, chemo is artificial ... Oh, wait, there's that whole nest of conspiracies too.

Natural immunity to measles is more robust than the vaccine immunity. Most choose the vaccine; some don't. More would vaccinate if the vaccine were better and safer--or measles more prevalent. It's a trade-off.

Giving all my money means I won’t be robbed. Cutting off all my hair means I don’t have to worry about balding. My wife will never cheat with me if I divorce her first. This is what you sound like.

You mean if they survive the disease with no long-term sequelae? Are you seriously telling people to get the disease, hope it doesn't do lasting damage or kill them, and THEN they'll be protected against it? Do you see the flaw in your logic? 1/?

First - you are telling people to get sick so they can be protected from getting sick. Nice. SECOND - If you're going to spout BS, please back it up! SHOW ME THE DATA that says surviving measles provides better immunity. 2/3
