I will say this now. If there is a 2nd referendum on Brexit, I will loose all confidence on our democracy. I will loose all confidence on our political system and will never vote again. We cannot abuse the democratic right of the UK citizens! 4/4

When you look at Scotland's vote in the EU ref, they wanted to remain. It's fair that they get another say on independence now they are being taken out of the EU.

They voted to remain in the UK in 2014. The UK voted to leave in 2016. Therefore they can't have it both ways. The SNP are an undemocratic party not serving the interest of Scotland or the UK as a whole. Therefore undermining the legitimacy of our democratic system

Yeah that's the point though. When they voted to stay in UK, the UK was staying in EU. Things have changed a lot since then.

As far as I'm aware, the referendum in 2014 never said anything about staying within the EU if Scotland remain. If you can provide evidence that would be nice

There was no sight of an EU referendum in 2014. It wasn't announced until 2015

I believe that is also factually incorrect. The popularity of UKIP
and the negotiation with the EU were well under way and this can be seen as it became campaign promises in the following year. Nothing this big happens in less than the space of 2 years. It was years of lobbying1 antwoord 0 retweets 0 vind-ik-leuks -

So you think that UK referendum started in 2015? Nothing before that? No growing UKIP movement? Cameron not in negotiations to change UKs role in the EU? Pure naivety there Chris. Obviously it passed in 2015 but bills take years to write

Just to be clear, are you saying that the Scottish Indy Ref in 2014 was run on the basis that the majority of those voting knew we would probably leave the EU two years later?

No indyref was to stay in the UK. The UK chose to leave the EU and so democracy means they stay in the UK and we leave the EU. I'm not so sure what's hard to understand?
