Where there isn't a choice there's an issue. As long as our society caters to the fact that they have a choice to wear a head scarf then I don't have an issue
Disappointed in the reaction to M&S hijab. As I wore a kippah to school from a very young age, growing up with religious identity is ok. I don't wear one now but that's the choice I make and as long as the girls get a choice I don't see the harm in M&S selling it

@MaajidNawaz there’s no religious requirement for pre-pubescent girls to wear the hijab, that’s the issue. It’s available to girls aged 3 to ‘preserve their modesty’. Does a 3 year old make that decision or their parents? -
When I was 3 I was made to wear religious symbols and that's ok. When the child is old enough and wishes not to wear the symbols it is only right that her choice is respected then. We are very lucky to live in a country which caters to their choice and free will
